"VHAS" - On site After School Child Care
Virginia-Highland Elementary has one afterschool childcare program that is on-site, VHAS after-school childcare. VHAS after-school childcare is available for all VHE students, Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. In order to participate, you must register your child and pay monthly tuition. The VHAS monthly tuition is a pre-paid plan.
The VHAS is an after-school care program located at Virginia-Highland Elementary for Virginia-Highland Elementary students. Once your child(ren) is registered, The VHAS students will be dismissed at 2:20pm to go to the VHE Gymnasium. In the gym, VHAS will sort students by grade level and a VHAS staff member will escort students to their afterschool classroom location to work on homework, have a snack and participate in other activities. The after-school care program is offered from 2:20pm to 6:00pm daily. Parents/ guardians may pick up their child/children at any time between 2:45pm and 6:00pm daily. A late pick-up fee will be charged for arrival times after 6:00pm.

VHAS Extracurricular & Clubs Program
Virginia-Highland Elementary has one afterschool clubs program that is on-site and managed by, VHAS. VHAS after-school clubs are available on a first come first serve basis for VHE students, Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. In order for your child/children to participate, you must register your child/children and pay the club participation fee. Clubs are offered once a week. An afterschool clubs calendar will be provided for all VHE parents, so they can register their child/children. Please note that some club vendors may not allow Pre-Kindergarten students.
Once your child(ren) is registered for a club, VHAS Club students will be dismissed at 2:20pm to go to the VHE Gymnasium. In the gym, VHAS will sort club students by their club for the day and a staff member of the club will escort students to their afterschool club location. Clubs will begin at 2:35p.m. and end at 4:00pm daily. Club students will need to be picked up by their parents at 4p.m. unless that student is a part of the after-school care Program with VHAS. For more information, click on the name of the afterschool program for how to register your child. Please note that there are a number of after-school childcare options in and around our school zone. Some programs may not be listed below. If your child is to participate in an off-site afterschool child care provider that is not listed below, please contact the VHE School Secretary, and we will update our list.
