Specials

At Virginia-Highland Elementary, our “Specials” classes—Art, Band, Chorus, Media Center, Music, Orchestra, Physical Education, and STEAM Lab —play a vital role in nurturing the whole child. These classes give students the opportunity to explore creativity, movement, collaboration, and critical thinking beyond the core subjects. Whether they’re expressing themselves through art, making music, learning teamwork in PE, or discovering new worlds in the Media Center, our students are developing important lifelong skills. Specials are a highlight of each week and help our learners grow in confidence, curiosity, and joy!
